Stroll the Museum’s 15-acre railyard with over 100 narrow and standard gauge steam and diesel locomotives, passenger cars, cabooses and G-scale garden railway. Watch as Colorado railroad history is brought back to life in our Roundhouse restoration facility with a working turntable. Visit the 1880s-replica Depot Museum building housing thousands of rare artifacts, along with the Denver HO Model Railroad Club’s operating model layout replicating the various types of Colorado mountain railroading. And take home a memory from our Depot General Store featuring thousands of train gifts for every railfan.
The Colorado Snowsports Museum and Hall of Fame tells the stories of how skiing and snowboarding were introduced to Colorado and how they evolved. The Museum uses the latest in technology for in depth exploration of the resorts, competitors and individuals who have contributed significantly to the evolution of the snow sports in Colorado.
The mission of the Denver Firefighters Museum is to preserve the history of the Denver Fire Department and firefighting through the collection and preservation of artifacts, documents and photographs. The purpose of the Museum is to educate the public about fire safety and the history of firefighting in Denver from its inception to the present. This is accomplished through interpretive exhibits, educational programming and scholarly research.

Open since 1970, the Western Museum of Mining and Industry (WMMI) is committed to preserving and interpreting the rich mining history of Colorado and the American West. The multi-purpose exhibit building offers visitors a unique and interactive experience designed to educate the public about the importance of mining and industry and its impact on our daily lives. The outdoor campus features The Reynolds Ranch House historical site, a working 1800s style Yellow Jacket stamp mill, and operational antique mining equipment of various descriptions.
