The MFA was founded by Margaret Acheson Stuart and opened to the public in 1965. It is the only place on Florida’s west coast where you can discover 4,500 objects extending from antiquity to the present day, and includes works by such major French artists as Frangonard, Vigee-Lebrun, Corot, Cezanne, Monet, Berthe, Morisot, Gaugin, Renior, and Rodin.
