This smallish RV park a few miles from the home we sold and moved out of was our first stop on our RVing adventure. We stayed here for about a week while we waited for our middle child to graduate from high school in June 2017.

After leaving Big Chief, we spent a week here on the banks of the Guadalupe River. This was a very peaceful spot where we enjoyed some walks and plenty of time with our feet in the river. There was a rope swing over the river during our visit that was high enough to make a parent's heart stop...but our boys went for it and had a blast!
After several weeks getting the hang of this RVing thing (remember, we were complete newbies), we returned to the Austin area for my nephew's wedding which was taking place on June 26, 2017.
This simple park is quiet, clean, off the beaten path and generally just pretty enjoyable. It's still conveniently located to many local amenities (10-15 min drive at most), but still gave us the feeling of escaping a bit. I am sure we will be staying here again when we are back in the area in our RV.
