*the* classic breakfast spot in Soho! Set a reminder on your phone to book a reservation two weeks out on Resy. We skipped cocktails and opted for OJ, which was actually such a move, and then ordered the whitefish salad, smoked Scottish, and everything bagels. Would definitely recommend that as the perfect order for two, but the french toast and pancakes both looked really amazing.
You guys... the burger here is my new favorite burger, of all time. I love burgers and nothing does it for me like this one! The vibe is also really fabulous. I'd recommend the Vinho Verde, sitting in a booth inside, ordering the smash burger, and just enjoying the vibes. I first went with Joe one night, and then I loved the burger so much I took Lauren and her friend when they were in town just a couple weekends later to get it again!!
Ruby's is an Australian spot in Nolita, and they have a great chill playlist on in the background. I went here with my dad and brother when I first moved, and I can't forget how delicious the ragu was! Oh, don't skip out on the chocolate cake, too.
you've probably heard of this classic spot in the heart of the West Village! We opted for the boozy brunch because it's a great deal and offers unlimited frizzante (which we both loved) or mimosas, whichever you prefer. Elizabeth had the uovo in purgatorio, and I had the eggs benedict which comes with prosciutto (love). Would definitely recommend both!
this grungy Greek restaurant in the LES is not only incredibly cool, but the food and drink are both outstanding. I went with Joe and we split a bottle of the best orange wine I've ever tried, and some life-changing grilled octopus that just melts in your mouth.
this cafe/bar in the West Village is probably the most aesthetic spot in NYC I've been to... so far. The sgroppino is the cutest drink, which is lemon sorbet, vodka, and prosecco. It's sour but a little sweet, and so refreshing. Definitely recommend trying that, particularly as an after-dinner/dessert drink, but if you would prefer a classic cocktail, I thought the negroni bianco was amazing.
If you want the best froyo ever, head to Bloomingdales ASAP. My order is the original fro-yo with blueberries and coconut! I don't know what they do to their frozen yogurt, but it puts all others to shame.
This place. Is my new obsession. I LOVE a good bowl for a quick dinner or lunch, and for $12 you can get the biggest, most delicious, healthy Mediterranean bowl!! Think chipotle, but Mediterranean! I love a greens and grains bowl with chicken and like, all the toppings.
