Artist/Producer: Stephen BlackStephen BlackHere you can see the Flock of Bagels. First you need to download the free XR Masters browser. There is a an iPhone version and sn Android version . When it asks you to localize , you should be about 100 feet away from the towers on the Manhattan side. Meaning that Manhattan is behind the towers.

Regarding GeoPose-based AR, when you stand outside and point your phone at the door, you will see soda breads and more flying in the air. These are drafts from a project originating at the Irish Cultural Museum of New Orleans.
To see the soda bread project, the XR Masters spatial Browser is needed.

3. Hawkeye Crates LOADING DOCK
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Stephen BlackAt 1040 Metropolitan Avenue, you will find the ICSP, the International Studio & Curatorial Program. Walk past this and turn right. At the very end is the loading dock. Be careful! And there will probably be no-one there. And if there is someone there, they probably will have no idea about what you are talking about.
SO… in regards to GeoPose AR, this is where the historic Snake Lighter AR artworks where installed, from September 18 - 26, 2021.
Snake Lighter was a collaboration between Daniel Bainbridge and Stephen Black. Daniel is an established New York based sculptor and visual artist. Stephen is a writer, producer and artist. He also is the the first spatial cinema artist designated by the Open Augmented Reality Cloud (OARC).

Snake Lighter was the first GeoPose AR fine art installation to take place in the United States, possibly the world.

PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Stephen BlackA great Irish bar AND a source for soda bread and scones. "Source" because the scones and soda bread can only ordered online. Here testing has started for an AR soda bread exhibition. The exhibition is called Soda Bread in Time and Space, and it originated in the Irish Cultural Museum of New Orleans.

PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Stephen BlackNo AR here yet, but this is place is both dynamic and peaceful, a great place to stroll or read or sit or picnic.

So.. what is being planned is this: The Hardest Girlfriend to Button. THGTB will use AR to create a video mashup: Kego versions of the White Stripes recreating the video of The Hardest Button to Button in the same locations here near Riverside Drive.

This AR experience was created as a way to publicize the Brooklyn BagelFest, by using the Flock of Bagels AR sculpture commissioned by Moe's Broadway Bagels.

PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Stephen BlackBrooklyn Studios, on the 4th floor is where the second Brooklyn BagelFest was held. Of course the Flock of Bagels was there. If you can get into Brooklyn Studios, and you have the XR Masters app, you will see all kinds of AR bagels, not just the flying ones.
And there is all kinds of good food on the ground floor, as well as a Trader Joe's.
13. Spoonbill & Sugartown Books
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Stephen BlackThere is no GeoPose AR here yet. It is included in this tour because here, two interesting books can be found.
I ate Tiong Bahru was written by Stephen Black, the artist/producer whose AR works are featured in Maith. IaTB is a bestseller in Singapore.
Stephen Black also established Book Merah, a publishing company. At Spoonbill you can also find a book of poems called Newspaper Drumsticks, by Tyler Dempsey. The poems are based on letters Tyler received from his brother , who was in prison.The book is funny, insightful and heartbreaking.Newspaper Drumsticks was published by Book Merah.
The streets around Spoonbill are full of interesting places to eat, drink and shop.

14. Les Petit Versailles (just outside on Houston)
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Stephen BlackHere there is another historic use of GeoPose AR. In September 2021, Stephen Black began testing the use of video+AR in an outdoor public space.(His previous testing was for the soda bread exhibition at the Irish Cultural Museum of New Orleans.)
The video chosen for testing was from documentation of Generator (Pestilence Part 1), an experimental multimedia look at the AIDS epidemic, which was performed in February and March of 2020. Jack Waters snd Peter Cramer are the two strong willed snd spirited individuals responsible for both Generator and Les Petit Versailles. They are legends for their contributions to the Lower East Side arts community.
This installation requires an app from Augmented.City. At the time of this writing, the app is available only upon request. To receive the app, contact Stephen Black through the Book Merah Twitter account.

PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Stephen BlackThe Pizza School does not sell pizza. They are located right next to Kossar's Bagels, where there is a Flock of Bagels.
This area is a nice one to explore and there are plenty of surprises, like the Basic Necessities Mural at 398 Broome Street and the Clayton Gallery/Outlaw Museum.
