This is truly where the locals eat. Fish River Grill is a staple and they are always busy.
We love the OMG Shrimp Poboy Feast, Seafood BLT and the burgers here.
The burgers are big and messy with simple ingredients.
Don't forget the complimentary swamp soup. It's delicious!

We went to @oso_bear_point_harbor for the first time tonight.
Atmosphere is off the charts. A cool bayside cabin vibe with a great view, live music and plenty of seating inside and out.
They were well staffed. We were promptly seated. 7pm on a Friday? Love that.
Our server Jason made contact with us almost immediately and took our drink order and told us the special for the night. He was great throughout the night.
Started off with a Bushwacker...for research purposes of course. Easily one of my favorite bushwackers. Good blend of rum.
The menu had several options from casual bar food to fresh catch entrées. Plenty of choices for non-seafood eaters too. Bowl options for gluten free food lovers.
We went casual tonight and went with the Mahi Tacos and Grouper Burrito. Everything tasted fresh and the flour tortillas held up well. Some places you get a taco or burrito and it's like they source the tortillas from an Azteca box at the grocery store.
The tacos were excellent. I really liked the slaw that came with them. It had a sweet citrus flavor that gave it some good texture and a pop of acidity.
We've kind of been dreading going out with all of the labor issues and some not so good experiences lately. We left OSO full and wanting to try some of the other items on the menu.
We'll be back.

Blackened Redfish. This is a flavor bomb. Flaky seasoned redfish with Louisiana Hot Sauce hollandaise and some dirty rice to give it a little texture with a little smokiness from the andouille. It's perfect. I enjoyed the side of asparagus with it as well.
Possibly our favorite dish down here. Bronze Gulf Grouper. The buttery grouper and sautéed blue crab mixed with the creamy parmesan risotto and the acidity of the Creole tomato sauce was delicious. This is the standard at Cobalt.
GTs on The Bay is one of our favorites because it has something for everyone. Pizza for the kids, seafood dishes, tropical drinks (like the one they serve out of a pineapple), great view of the bay, outdoor dining and a pirate playground area for the kids.
Ready for some down home cooking ?
One of our favorite restaurants down here. Always good service and the food comes fast and hot for a good price.
You have got to try the crawfish pistols, seafood BLT, Burgers and their OMG Shrimp Poboy feast. It's soooo good!
Do you like Bloody Mary's? Try the Jubilee Beast with a full soft shell crab on it.
In a sea of rapidly expanding fast food and chain restaurants in Foley, there's a beacon of hope at Local and Company Food+Drink.
I sat down for a late lunch today to see what it was all about. The atmosphere is what you would expect for a remodel of an old building. New everything that's made to look old.
Exposed kitchen. You can see who and how your meal is being prepared. If you're against unmasked kitchen staff(which is still within State guidelines), you shouldn't go. As a Covid survivor myself, I didn't care.
There's a good selection on the menu. A large variety of salads and apps. 11" hand tossed pizza is featured in the middle. Over to the right you'll find some sandwiches and things and then some very expensive entrées at the bottom right.
I went for the fried grouper tacos with napa slaw, queso panela and chipotle aioli for $12.
It says it comes with chips and guacamole. I was a little surprised when pita chips arrived. They looked burnt but, they were pretty good and didn't taste burnt at all. They had a little sweet taste to them and were surprisingly good with the guac.
Side of quacamole was very good. The pickled jalapeños set it apart from others I've had.
With any good taco, it all starts with a fresh and authentic tortilla. They held up well and weren't too stretchy. Could be Gabby's tortillas but, I'm not sure.
2 slabs of battered grouper in each. The menu said crispy fried but, there wasn't much crunch. Not a bad thing, just not as described.
The slaw was excellent and the chipotle aioli brought it all together. One of the best seafood tacos around.
I have heard some complaints about service but, I didn't have any. Nikki was great.
Local and Company is a great addition to Foley. Look forward to trying them for dinner one night.
We don't make it out to Fairhope very often but, tonight there's a big kids consignment sale and I'll take any excuse to try a new (to us) place.
Everyone always talks about Sunset Pointe and it's only 5 minutes from the sale.
Atmosphere: Cozy little marina side bar and grill with an expansive outside dining area.
Service: Caroline was attentive, knowledgeable and very efficient.
Kids Menu: The fried fish is mahi. Burgers, fried shrimp, grilled cheese. All the kid classics served with sweet potato chips and a cup of fruit. Our server asked if we wanted to sub fries. Our kids went for the mahi and enjoyed it.
The Food: We both went with the grouper sandwich and had it blackened. Pffft. No doubt the best grouper (sandwich grade) ever. A very buttery flavor from a well marbled grouper on a brioche bun with local lettuce and tomato. It's really simple but, high quality.
The grilled slaw slaw reminded me of a cole slaw take on my grandma's three bean salad. A sweet vinegar cabbage and sweet pepper.
The Drinks: The drink of the week was a New York Sour. Fresh squeezed lemon, Rye, egg white and topped with red wine. The frothing that the egg white provides reminded me of a Pisco Sour. It was very refreshing and flavorful.
We'll definitely visit again when we're in the area and definitely recommend.
