This state park is situated inside the Cascade Range and Modoc Plateau natural region, and is set in a gorgeous forest. It has five miles of stream and lake shoreline, including Lake Britton, and amazing hikes.
There is also the gorgeous 129 foot Burney Falls waterfall that alone is worth the trip. The campground is also very nice, with a beach, boat ramp, camp store and more.

This is a gem of a location and RV resort park with all the amenities imaginable. Super for convenience, even direct access to the sands of the Pacific Coast and a bridge that connects the RV park to the quaint little Central California town. Full hook up, clean hot showers, onsite restaurant, camp store, picnic tables at each site and so much more. Hiking, biking, wine tasting, shopping, great restaurants and more.
5. Montaña de Oro State Park
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:RV LifestyleThis State Park located on the Central coast of California about 6 - 7 miles south of Morro Bay and Los Osos is a great place to camp and accommodates RV's up to 27 feet. There are no hook ups, flush toilets or dump stations however the RV sites do have firepits, there is a camp store and camp host and firewood is available for sale... but the beauty of being nestled in this State Park is that it is located away from town a few miles or so down a country road. You will love the hiking available along the cliffs over the ocean and beach access to Spooners Beach just outside the campground. Dogs are welcome on Spooners Beach and at your campsite but not on the hiking trails.

7. First Landing State Park
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Ruthie TonyFirst Landing State Park is just a phenomenal place. Sites are wooded and the beach is accessible by several short walkways. The RV sites have hook-ups. We chose to dry camp and use our own shower and toilet.

14. Goblin Valley State Park

This park got its name because of the bizarre, goblin shaped cliffs, standing eerily here and there across the landscape. It is pretty amazing. The exposed cliffs reveal parallel layers of rock bared by erosion. Because of the uneven hardness of sandstone, softer parts of the rock eroded more quickly than harder layers, creating the Valley of Goblins. Some people compare this place to Mars. There is hiking, biking. disc golf, camping and amazing dark skies to enjoy.

19. Pikes Peak - America's Mountain

If you love the outdoors, you can take a short hike or wander miles of trails. Or walk down the main street to find some delicious food to feed a range of palates.
If you're up for an RVing adventure, you can drive to the summit of Pikes Peak. You'll have a 14,150-foot view of the mountains and valley below.
The road up to Pike's Peak is very nice, but there are some hairpin curves with little or no shoulder or guardrails. Driving up isn't really a challenge, but the descent can be. There is a mandatory brake check and you'll want to use low gears to control your speed.

20. Seven Mile Bridge
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:RV LifestyleLeaving Marathon, you’ll drive across the Seven Mile Bridge which spans the channel between Knight’s Key and Little Duck Key.
The history of this iconic structure dates back to the early 1900s when Henry Flagler built the Overseas Railroad as an attempt to lure tourists to the Lower Keys. The railroad was eventually converted into a highway, which stood for decades before a new span was built in the 1980s.
There are amazing water views along the entirety of the bridge and even better sunsets.
Remains of the Old Seven Mile Bridge run parallel to the new. More than two miles of the older structure remain open to foot traffic and the span is a popular spot for biking and fishing.

21. Gulf Islands National Seashore
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:RV LifestyleThe Gulf Islands National Seashore is a 160-mile stretch of gorgeous and very secluded beaches. It is undisturbed by development and characterized by blue-green sparkling water.
So big is this property that it lies in two states – Florida and Mississippi – and is divided into 12 district areas.
The protected regions include mainland areas and parts of seven islands. If you count Alabama, the area is even longer. Some islands along Alabama coast were originally considered for inclusion, for some reason, they are not officially part of the national seashore managed by the National Parks Service.
