Rochester's PlaybookFrom fishing, to hiking, to the playground, nature center, fairy trail and bird sanctuary, Mendon Ponds Park can supply a full day of fun! There is plenty to do and unlimited opportunities to connect with nature in all seasons. Bring a picnic lunch and spend the day. Dogs are not allowed on the fairy trail and in the Wild Wings areas. The typical playground, hiking trails and Wild Wings Facilities are driving distance from one another.

It has a spring car, typical swings, baby swings and fun train structure. There are two separate structures for the young and old. There is a seasonal restrooms here as well as a big pond to explore just over the hill.

4. Northampton Park
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Rochester's PlaybookNorthampton Park is a Monroe County Park that encompasses Springdale Farm and the new Alpine Adventure Zone!. If heading to the farm, the playground near Springdale Farm is the first thing you see upon entering the parking lot but there is so much more! Check back here for details regarding the farm as they develop with the ongoing changes of the pandemic. Note, dogs are allowed at Northampton Park but not within Springdale Farm.

5. Stokoe Farms

6. Long Acre Farms

7. Powder Mills Park
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Rochester's PlaybookPowder Mills Park offers year round fun. The fish hatchery is a unique and peaceful experience of feeding fish and the sledding hill is excellent! Playground, Pavillion, Fish Hatchery and Sledding are all driving distances from one another. There are 3 seasonal restrooms: (1) Off Park Rd by Rand Lodge (2) off Woolston Rd by Powderhorn Lodge (3) Off Woolston Rd next to the Oak Tree Lodge. Also nearby, you can find the historic mushroom house with its unique architecture.

The playground at the Perinton Recreation Center is open to the public, fenced and gated with a padded play surface. The equipment and environment is nicely designed for preschool children and younger. Venture inside the recreation center, and you will find a beautiful aquatics center and preschool open gym!

10. Little Buffalo

WNY PlaybookLittle Buffalo is WNY's first and only boutique indoor play space for kids. There are two play areas and one classroom strategically curated to encourage development through play. The entire space and all of its furnishings are designed specifically for babies and young children ages 0-7. Little Buffalo offers open play, classes, camps, and birthday parties. 11. Allegany State Red House Area

Nestled within the 65,000 acre park are overlooks, playgrounds, hiking, swimming, fishing, nature trails, caves, and even a waterfall. Red House Area can be accessed from I-86 exits 19 and 21. There is so much to see here you definitely won't get it all in with one visit. Consider camping over or visit again and again! The following information outlines a visit to the Red House Area. 12. Case Lake Park

Case Lake has a modern playground, picnic area with large pavilion, and a brand new handicap accessible boat launch installed in 2021. 16. The Circle Play Cafe
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Rochester's PlaybookCircle Play Cafe is an indoor play area in Fairport NY. In addition to the main play space, there are separate play areas for children over three and for infants 0-18 months. During any time that there aren’t events being hosted, the party room is opened as an arts and crafts area for kids to use with adult supervision. Aside from open play, camps, an after school program and preschool programs are also available. Socks are required for all.
