Got the omelette with goat cheese, caramelized onions, and mushrooms. The omelette is cooked perfect, just slightly undercooked which is my preference. Firm outside, creamy inside. Nice amount of fillings. Occasionally took a bite and got a pocket of goat cheese.. not ideal but not terrible. The portion size is a little small for my liking, but I am a pretty big eater so prob good for most people. Love the fries, they kept it simple. Would def order again. 4/5 - Great
The French Toast was a little light on the custard, could definitely use more. Kinda feels like you’re eating lightly toasted bread with a little bit of sweetness to it. Some of the bites are a little soggy from the syrup that comes on the plate. Bread is a nice thick cut tho. Would be nice if it was served with a side of syrup. Overall it’s bit underwhelming, could def be much better. 2/5 - Ok
Visited with Orgit! Was a good quick lunch. Omelette a little undercooked. Love the potatoes.
Crunchy outside. Moist soft inside. Perfect ratio. Syrup is good. Only complaint is the cream was put on the waffle and there was a ton of it. I didn’t love the taste and it ended up making the waffle very soggy. Great waffle but the cream wasn’t for me. 4/5
Ordered the rosewater waffle. The waffle is nice and thick, a little tough and bouncy, and the batter is slightly sweet. Syrup is mild. The yogurt is a little underwhelming - it is thick and light on flavor. Fresh fruit was nice, the dish could have used a little more tho. Happy I tried it, prob won’t get it again. Good - 4/5
The pancakes are very fluffy. They fall apart in your mouth. Tons of cream cheese frosting. Very sweet. Good syrup, nice a sweet - normal thickness. Good portion size. The pancake itself has nice flavor. With the added frosting and syrup it’s a sweetness overload - in a great way. It’s almost like a cinnamon roll was converted into a pancake. Good - 4/5
Waffle was great. Doughy but not soft, a bit tougher. In a good way. It was very sweet. The berries and sauce were good. It didn’t feel soggy which is great. The cream on top is very thick almost like yogurt. Big fan. Doesn’t come with syrup tho and the portion size is tiny. 5/5
Got the omelette. Tons of flavor. Great amount of cheese. Omelette is a little small but lots of potatoes come with and a nice portion of salad. The eggs are cooked well, cooked on the outside and slightly undercooked on the inside. The cheese carries the flavor in the omelette, so if you don’t like the cheese don’t get the omelette. Potatoes are good. Nothing special. Salad has very light dressing. Nice and refreshing. I like it. Overall, may get again. Good - 4/5
Ordered the croissant French toast. Croissant is great. Nice and carmalized. There are 3 stacked. A little tough to cut but great flavor. Not traditional French toast but good. Great syrup, very sweet. The fruit is good but they give you 3 pieces..
coupled with 1 half of a walnut.. maybe they are short on supplies today. Overall it’s a good French toast, not traditional, but good. Good - 4/5
If you take mashed potato, form it into a pancake shape, then immediately take a bite, that would be similar in consistency as this pancake. It’s both thin, underwhelming, mushy (not fluffy), and tastes like a sweetened potato. This place is not the spot for pancakes. The berry’s on top are very good and flavorful but the pancake itself is mediocre. Almost died after every bite. Ate the whole dish just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. Turns out it wasn’t a fluke. Don’t recommend it. 1/5
The bread they use is a little tough. The French toast is thin cut. The bread also has some grains in it so it’s a bit crunchy too. Very strange combination. I am confused by this whole dish. It’s pretty bad. Doesn’t come with syrup either. Had to ask for it. The chai in the dish is definitely noticeable, but not really adding much to it. It’s a mediocre dish but not something I would recommend. I have a stomach ache. 2/5
Clinton St. Baking Company inside Time Out Market.
Ordered the fresh coconut pancakes for pancake month. With the amount of toppings you’d think it would be too sweet and would compete with each other but they actually compliment each other well. Pairs well with the hot apple cider.
4.5/5 I’m impressed and will probably finish it all, which says a lot.
