I downloaded the family tree app years ago and LOVE IT. Coming here was a super fun interactive experience to get to discover your relatives and where you’ve come from. I would absolutely come here if you get the chance and are interested in your ancestry.
Thanks-Giving Square, 1627 Pacific Ave, Dallas, TX 75201, USA
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:
This began when four businessmen wanted the city of Dallas to be known not only for its economic accomplishments, but also for the enduring heart of its citizens. This meditative urban garden sits 15 feet below ground level and expressions of thanksgiving are found all around the square. The chapel of thanksgiving is the spiritual center of the square. The Glory Window contains one of the largest horizontally mounted stained glass windows in the world.
I first came here as a kid and LOVED IT! It's this beautiful spot in Lake Huron set back in time. Your only form of transportation is by horse and buggy, bicycle or on foot. Trails and woods cover most of the island, which makes it a great place for a hike.
It is also the location of Fort Mackinac, founded in 1780. It's a British-built on the island's bluffs high above the Straits of Mackinac.
You'll definitely need a full day to explore the island and feel satisfied if not more. If you want to bike the interior of the island, go kayaking, visit museums and the fort or anything else, you'll need three days!

Though you could definitely bring kids here, I enjoyed this museum with a friend in 2019. It was nice to do it kid-free and really get to take the time to read through the history of World War II. The museum is incredibly done and a must see if you’re in New Orleans.
🏛 This is a gorgeous full-scale replica of the original building in Athens. The re-creation of the 42 foot statue Athena is the focus of the Parthenon and is also a full-scale replica. It’s the centerpiece of Centennial Park, and a must-see if you are in Nashville!
We drive through Ratón, NM frequently, but only recently found this place and we’re so glad we did! Delicious food, well-prepared drinks and a super friendly atmosphere. Lots of interesting specialty drinks.
