And just like that, I have a new found obsession... My buddy took me to his go-to ramen spot in NYC and the entire experience was jaw dropping.
I tried their original “Tonkotsu” (pork) broth, house made thin noodles with Ippudo’s special blend of hot spices, topped with pork belly chashu, cabbage, sesame kikurage mushrooms and egg.

Absolutely loved this contemporary atmosphere and the a la carte seasonal menu by Chef Michael Anthony. They had unparalleled service, an extensive wine selection & earned themselves a plethora of awards:

I tried the famous burger cooked medium rare on their open, wood-burning grill with crispy bacon and a smoked onion aioli. The side of duck fat potato chips were some of the best ever! They also had me try the Roasted Oysters (not pictured) in a habanero butter and the bartender paired each dish with varietal wines.
Can’t wait to get back in to the dining room for a more formal experience!

Finally had a chance to check out #BuddakanNYC and it was exhilarating to both the eyes and tastebuds alike. Surreal atmosphere with a 16th century Paris vibe married with speciality pan-Asian fare. We didn’t even order any entrees and instead had several dim sum plates, appetizers and of course noods. Also seeing the chandeliers in person was breathtaking!
Pictured here is the charred pork belly with spicy shallots and napa cabbage… I plan on eventually eating every item on this menu.
