RV LifestyleIf you're thinking of exploring Yellowstone, West Yellowstone is a great place to start for two reasons:
Because there are more than 20 locations (commercial campgrounds and boondocking) within a 20-mile radius.
So, if you absolutely need hookups or the campgrounds within Yellowstone are full, you should still be able to find
a site.
Because West Yellowstone is the closest town to any of the park entrances, you should be able to stock up on food, LP, fuel, or whatever else you need. Just remember that with the proximity to Yellowstone you’ll definitely be paying
inflated prices for it.

2. Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center

4. Earthquake Lake Visitor Center
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:RV LifestyleIf you have some extra time for a side trip, it’s worth taking a 30-minute drive out to Quake Lake, which was struck by a tragic earthquake in 1959.

5. Upper Basin Lake
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:RV LifestyleOnce you’ve seen Old Faithful, don’t hop in your rig and leave!
You are now in Upper Geyser Basin which is home to more thermal features than anywhere in the world!
We would recommend taking the boardwalk to the right side of Old Faithful, up to Geyser Hill (where you can usually get a less-crowded view of Old Faithful) and then continue on the boardwalk past Grand Geyser, Beauty and Chromatic Pools, Grotto Geyser, Riverside Geyser, and all the way up to Morning Glory Pool.
You can then turn around and take the bike path back to the Old Faithful Visitor Center for a chance of scenery on your way back. It’s about 3 miles roundtrip.
