PEOPLE ARE SAYING:
Beautiful forest outside Charleston WV! Full fall would be amazing! Quiet, peaceful and looked to be some nice trails but we didn’t have much time to explore 😕Campsites with water & electricity under $30 w/veteran/older people % and pretty level access but sites not designed for larger rigs. Shower house currently under construction. Also, travel in/out of park very narrow roads. Would not recommend for any rig over 21to 25ft at most but I’m a little skid dish 😱
Our very first trip in our RV. A shakedown trip, if you prefer. Good trip, nice campground, seems well managed, kept up, quiet. Very enjoyable, very glad we went there.
Country store = check in, has ice, propane, basic park maps. Some sites have sewer, also dump station at exit.
The lower “River Area” has the Fern campground, offering water with 30-amp electricity. That campground is near the miniature train and stables offering horseback riding.

Small campground on Wapato Lake, near Lake Chelan. In apple country and several wineries in the area. Decent campground, but spaces are rather small and unlevel. Nice big trees provide welcome shade. Water and electric at RV sites, swimming beach, boat launch, dump station at the Exxon station a few miles away for $10. Bathrooms are OK, showers are $$. Be nice to the host, she has to deal with the public.
