2. Oquirrh Park
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Utah With KidsCutest toddler play area, cement slide, zipline and awesome large rope course playground for older kids. Not a ton of shade but there are 2 large covered pavilions near the park and some shaded benches around the playground. There are also picnic tables, restrooms, a skate park and lots of grassy area nearby. Enter at 5624 Cougar Ln and follow the road west (past the Olympic Oval on your north and the skate park on your south) until you reach the playground parking lot.

3. Neighborhood Art Center
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Utah With Kids@neighborhoodartcenter at the Provo Towne Mall is our new favorite place in Utah County! It's a place where kids and adults can go to experience and create art! They have open studio on Wednesday and Friday from 10-5, adult admission is $3 and kids are $5, 2 and under are free. We were there for 'kindergARTen' and they had so many fun, art activities to try. Spin art, puffy paint, playdough, leather stamping and more! We loved their paint room and art library and can't wait to visit again soon! 4. Level Two Social Games
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Utah With KidsFootball bowling & axe throwing @leveltwosocial in Midvale!🪓🏈🎳 A great spot for a date night or to take older kiddos! I took my 5 and 8 year olds and they loved it. Axe throwing is for ages 11+ but they have a few kiddo-safe targets with plastic axes that younger kids can use!
It's only $10 for unlimited football and $10/hr for axe throwing Sunday through Thursday ($15 for a combo pass) and $15 on Friday and Saturday ($20 for a combo pass). They offer military discounts and Groupons as well! They also have arcade games, Zeppe's Italian ice and more!

PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Utah With KidsThis park includes a short trail that leads to two ponds! The trail is mostly paved so we brought bikes and scooters but there are dirt paths for exploring too. So fun for a family walk and very stroller friendly- great for all ages!
Lots of ducks at the ponds and fishing is allowed. There are benches to sit on around the ponds and on a windy day you'll notice the windmill near the first pond blowing in the breeze.
This park is right in the middle of a neighborhood and is pretty well hidden unless you're looking for it. There's parking for about 8 cars but no restrooms.

11. The Farm at Gardner Village

16. Zion National Park Visitor Center, Zion National Park, Zion Park Boulevard, Springdale, UT
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Utah With KidsHobbit Hole in Zion National Park! An unmarked, off-the-beaten path, kiddo-friendly slot canyon. It can be tricky to find but it's worth the search.
Hobbit Hole is along the Lower Clear Creek below highway 9 past the Zion-Mt. Carmel tunnel. It isn't on the park map. You can find it on @alltrails but internet service is spotty so come prepared with directions/screenshots.
After you've passed through the Zion-mt. Carmel tunnel heading east you'll see the Canyon overlook trailhead and some restrooms. As you pass those keep an eye out for a white road sign on your left and try to park near that sign when you see it. The sign reads ' tunnel ahead watch for stopped vehicles'. You'll only see the back of the sign as you're heading east. If you reach the second, smaller tunnel you've gone too far.
After parking near the sign walk to the sign. Walk over/down the hillside directly west of the sign and then east to reach a tunnel heading from north to south under highway 9. After passing through the tunnel you'll reach a fork, continue straight (don't go right) and you'll quickly reach the 'hobbit hole' slot canyon! The canyon itself is only about .25 miles making this a quick exploration hike that the whole family will enjoy.

29. Snow Canyon State Park
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Utah With KidsSnow Canyon State Park! This state park is in Ivins, only 15 minutes away from St. George ($10 entry per car for Utah residents, $15 for non-residents). The park has red rocks, lava rocks, sand dunes and some great hikes for kids! Jenny's Canyon is perfect for even the youngest of hikers. It's only a .5 mile round trip and leads to a short slot canyon. We also love to picnic at the sand dunes. Definitely bring sand toys if you visit!

33. Red Reef Trailhead
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Utah With KidsWe love the Red Reef Trail in Leeds/Washington near St. George! This is such a fun hike and the water is currently flowing! Visit before April/May for the best chance of active water, it dries up quickly during the summer months. Plan to bring water shoes if you want to hike beyond the first .7ish miles. My kiddos love wading in the water and climbing over large boulders along the way.
The waterfall pictured has some foot holes and a rope for climbing on the right side past the falls. The trail doesn't continue on for very long past this point so this is typically a good place for families to turnaround (about 1.5 miles round trip).
The trailhead is near campsite 2 before the road crosses Quail Creek. Parking at the trailhead requires a $5 fee and parking is limited. This is a popular hike so plan to go early in the day on a weekday if you can for less crowds.
There's also a Silver Reef Trail in the area that's .3 miles that leads to a lookout point and has dinosaur tracks! You can find that trailhead at the very West side of the campground loop.

34. Homestead Resort
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Utah With KidsThe resort is a historical gem that I have loved visiting since I was a kid!
We swam in the crater- a geothermal spring, hidden in a 55-foot beehive-shaped rock located right on the Homestead property and again the next morning in the indoor pool and hot tub at the resort.
They have a lot of updates planned in the next few years, including a family pool area with waterfalls and a toddler area, playgrounds, splash pad and more. we spent the night in one of their recently renovated bunkhouse rooms, which as you might guess, had a bunk bed for kiddos! Perfect accomodations for our family of 6!

PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Utah With KidsAdmission is FREE! We love the Gale Center of History & Culture in South Jordan! It offers a unique look at the history of South Jordan and Americana, with interactive displays and hands on exhibits. My kids love exploring the museum and enjoyed practicing cursive on vintage school desks, watching a train run on a track and playing in the pioneer house and grocery store. They are open Tuesday-Thursday from 10-6 and Friday from 10-4.

38. T. John Labrum Memorial Park
