This state park is situated inside the Cascade Range and Modoc Plateau natural region, and is set in a gorgeous forest. It has five miles of stream and lake shoreline, including Lake Britton, and amazing hikes.
There is also the gorgeous 129 foot Burney Falls waterfall that alone is worth the trip. The campground is also very nice, with a beach, boat ramp, camp store and more.

This is a gem of a location and RV resort park with all the amenities imaginable. Super for convenience, even direct access to the sands of the Pacific Coast and a bridge that connects the RV park to the quaint little Central California town. Full hook up, clean hot showers, onsite restaurant, camp store, picnic tables at each site and so much more. Hiking, biking, wine tasting, shopping, great restaurants and more.
5. Lake McClellan Campground

DeAnne RietzThis first come first served USFS campground is peaceful and was not crowed on a Wednesday in July. Electric and water at a handful of sites and clean shower house. Only 5 miles off of I-40.

11. Topsail Hill Preserve State Park RV Resort
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Phyllis KhareTopsail's campground is so elaborate that it's called an RV Resort – the Gregory E Moore RV Resort, to be exact, which has 156 sites with water, 30 or 50 amp electric, digital cable, sewer, swimming pool, laundry facilities, and shuffleboard courts. Bathrooms with showers are heated and cooled.

12. Silver Falls State Park
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Phyllis KhareFamilies have gathered here for years for family reunions, potlucks, and weddings. Use the park's horseshoe pits, playground, picnic tables spacious lawns, and barbecue stands and table areas to host your next large family gathering.
Consider wildlife viewing while horseback riding through this gorgeous, lush landscape from the Howard Creek Horse Camp.
The campground has 48 electrical sites with potable water, as well as 43 tent sites. They even offer pet-friendly deluxe cabins, hot showers, and flush toilets!

Fran CrowIn the heart of the largest Amish settlement in the world. Close to Sugar Creek, Berlin and Kidron. RV and tent camping. Larger rigs may NOT fit. Dump station, water, electric picnic table, free Wifi, fire ring (with free firewood), great shower house with flush toilets. Owners are fabulous!
15. Downtown Riverside RV Park

Livin In The EdgeA great place to park your RV and explore the Little Rock and North Little Rock area. Located on the Arkansas River, across a bridge from the William Clinton Presidential Museum and Library. Great bike path along the river on both sides, walk, or step on to the free Trolley Ride!
It is an upgraded parking lot. Does have full hookups and a very strong Wi-Fi system in the gated park.

18. Davidson River Campground
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Phyllis KhareDavidson River Campground is open year-round. It is located about four miles west of the town Brevard, which is less than a one hour drive from Asheville. It offers camping and outdoor activities the whole family can enjoy.
Davidson River Campground is located in the Pisgah National Forest, which boasts an elevation of 2,150 feet.
The surrounding landscape offers mile-high peaks, thick forests with hardwood and conifer trees, and beautiful waterfalls. The access to the beautiful natural landscape makes this one of the best RV campgrounds in NC Mountains.
The campground provides several shaded loops with well-shaded campsites. It also has easy access to fishing spots, waterfalls, hiking trails, and other nearby attractions in the Pisgah National Forest.
The site itself is organized into eight loops, some adjacent to water. They come equipped with a picnic table, campfire ring with grill, and lantern posts. Hot showers and flush toilets available.
Campers can also purchase firewood or ice onsite, or rent bikes nearby, if needed.

19. Goblin Valley State Park

This park got its name because of the bizarre, goblin shaped cliffs, standing eerily here and there across the landscape. It is pretty amazing. The exposed cliffs reveal parallel layers of rock bared by erosion. Because of the uneven hardness of sandstone, softer parts of the rock eroded more quickly than harder layers, creating the Valley of Goblins. Some people compare this place to Mars. There is hiking, biking. disc golf, camping and amazing dark skies to enjoy.
This left behind the bizarre goblin shapes seen today. Water erosion and the smoothing action of windblown dust work together to shape the goblins
20. Coeur d'Alene
PEOPLE ARE SAYING:Phyllis KhareCoeur d' Alene is known as a popular resort town with a 'floating green' hole on the golf coarse adjacent to the Coeur d' Alene Resort shown in the attached photo. The city is located in the Pacific North West area of Idaho and has a variety of campgrounds located with various amenities. Blackwell Island RV Park is a popular private campground with all the amenities listed! We have stayed at this RV location a couple of times and it does not disappoint. Located close to town and adjacent to the lake. A popular floating restaurant Cedars in only a few minutes away by car. Website: idahorvpark.com
